He was predeceased by: his wife Maria Teresa; and his siblings, Caterina and Bruno. He is survived by: his daughters, Maria Antonietta Akyuz (Muhittin) and Anna Maria Stillo; his granddaughters, Meral Akyuz (Antonio Casale) and Suzan Akyuz; and his brother Frank Stillo (Ana).

Contributions and Donations can be made in Saverio's memory to the Disabled American Veterans (DAV) or the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW).
