Dobyns of Scotch Plains, New Jersey, born in Chicago, Illinois, who passed away on July 28, 2023, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Georgiana Marie "Jo" Dobyns; his children, Dr. Mark Dobyns, Richard Dobyns II and Kathleen Dobyns Watt; his son-in-law Gerard Barbato; and his sister Dorothy Baker.
He is survived by: his girlfriend Joyce Ruffin; his partner's children, Linda Brown (Joe), Johnny Ruffin and Thresea Ruffin; his daughters, Lynn Dobyns and Susan Dobyns Barbato; his daughter-in-law Debbie Dobyns; his grandsons, Jess Hutzler (Stephanie), Nicholas Hutzler (Mary), Kevin Dobyns, Scott Dobyns and Ronald Watt, Jr. Debra Jo (Michelle); his great grandchildren, Jess IV, Grant, Vivian Hutzler, Isaac, Lydia Hutzler, Brandon, Chase, Georgiana and Jaxon Watt; and his grandchildren, Grandpuppies Boba, Revan and Sweetie.
