She was predeceased by: her husband Mauro A. Checchio. She is survived by: her children, Mark Checchio (Bobbi), Portia Sue Perrotty (Craig), Polly Schlegel, John Checchio and James Checchio (Sharon); her grandchildren, Anthony Checchio, Maura Checchio, Nick Perrotty, Chris Schlegel, Portia Reid (Greg), Luke Checchio and Cara Checchio; her great grandchildren, Eleanor Reid and Vivian Reid; and her brother Harland Schuler. She is also survived by her many nieces and nephews.
The family of Portia asked for donations and contributions to be made to the Scotch Plains Fanwood Rotary Frazee House Inc. SERVICES Memorial Service.
