With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Joseph Hanlon of Scotch Plains, New Jersey, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 27, 2025. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his father Joseph J.. He is survived by: his wife Maggie; his children, Jack, Nora and Luke; his mother Rosemary Hanlon; his sister Rosemary Falconio (Jason); his sisters-in-law, Devin Jacobs (James Petrillo) and Maura Cate Jacobs (Peter Hoare); his niece Molly; his brother-in-law Matthew Jacobs (Mackenzie); and his parents-in-law, Mary Jane and John Jacobs.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 30th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. Bartholomew the Apostle Church (2032 Westfield Ave, Scotch Plains, NJ 07076). A funeral Mass was held on Thursday, January 30th 2025 at 12:15 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made in memory of Joe to: Imagine, A Center for Coping with Loss.
