She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Tadeusz Slomczewski and Genowefa Slomczewski; her children, Halina Hughes (Dave) and Matthew Hercek; her grandson Connor Gustitus; her sisters, Irene Wall and Barbara Silva; her sister-in-law Ann Slomczewski; her husband Matthias Hercek; and her brother Leonard Slomczewski.
Mrs. Hercek worked as an Office Manager at the Polish Cultural Foundation of Clark for 40 years. She began her association with the Foundation as a volunteer and was an integral part of the official establishment of the PCF as a non-profit organization in 1981.
