We are sad to announce that on October 12, 2024 we had to say goodbye to Frances Higgins of Scotch Plains, New Jersey, born in Elizabeth, New Jersey. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husband William'Bill'Higgins; her parents, Edythe Byrnes and James Byrnes; and her siblings, James Byrnes and Betty Ann Lyons.

She is survived by: her daughters, Patricia Hussey of Long Branch and Mary Spreitzer of Red Bank; her grandchildren, Erin Murphy, Kaitlin, John William and Sara Spreitzer; and her great grandchildren, Daniel, Katherine and Annie Murphy.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 16th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Higgins and Bonner Echo Lake Funeral Home (582 Springfield Ave, Westfield, NJ 07090). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, October 17th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Immaculate Heart of Mary RC Church (1571 Martine Ave, Scotch Plains, NJ 07076). A burial will be held on Thursday, October 17th 2024 at the Fairview Cemetery (1100 E Broad St, Westfield, NJ 07091).
