It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ernest Coles Jr. of Scotch Plains, New Jersey, born in Plainfield, New Jersey, who passed away on January 3, 2021, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Trustee Ernest Coles, Sr. and Ella Ann Boykin Coles; his wife Rev. Leevon Nancy Coles; his children, Ernest, III (Butchie) and Mia; his brothers, Larry, Billy and Melvin; and his stepdaughter Lisa Royster.
He is survived by: his former wife Mary Miller; his children, Precious Eure (Barry) and Freddie Jackson; his stepchildren, Alita Hargrove (Fredrick), Precious Singleton (Tyrone), Jamil Dean and Albert McAllister (Dawn); and his nephew Sajidie Hannah. He is also survived by 38 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren.
