It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Maciej Sakowicz of Sayreville, New Jersey, who passed away on February 19, 2025, at the age of 48, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy Maciej leaves behind and his impact on the lives of his loved ones. Though Maciej may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the memories held dear by his family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Sylwester Sakowicz and Teresa Sakowicz; his daughter Kaya Sakowicz of Poland; his siblings, Izabela Rutkowski (Wojciech) of Parlin, Agnieszka Rojko of Sayreville, Szymon Sakowicz of Beacon, NY and Grzegorz of Poland; his goddaughter Matylda Szydelko of Brooklyn; and his niece Camilla Rutkowski of Parlin.
Visitation will be held on Monday, February 24th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Maliszewski Memorial (121 Main St, Sayreville, NJ 08872). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 25th 2025 at 9:30 AM at the same location. A Mass will be held on Tuesday, February 25th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Stanislaus Kostka RC Church (225 MacArthur Ave, Sayreville, NJ 08872).
