He was predeceased by: his parents, John DeGrotto and Josephine Monte DeGrotto; his wife Grace Emma Layton DeGrotto; his stepsons, Joseph Hitchner, William H Roberts Jr and Otis W. Roberts of Salem; and his siblings, Steve DeGrotto, Josephine Godish, Grace LaSpada, Ida Brown, Russell DeGrotto and Joseph DeGrotto.
He is survived by: his stepchildren, David A. Roberts, Patricia A. Bowman of Deepwater, Ethel M. Townley, Grace E. Nixon (Harold), April Mulholland (Louis) of Bridgeton, Sharon L Weaver (Mark), Edith Moriarty (Tom), Faith Lloyd (Monte) and Christine (Timothy) of Quinton; and his nieces and nephews, Steve DeGrotto, Tom Brown Jr, Russell Brown, Jeanie Harwood, Sandra Dee, Tina LaSpada, Jackie LaSpada, Tony Mungioli, John DeGrotto, Tracy Caraballo, Delores Speakman, Ann Love and Josephine Cogdill. He is also survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
