She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband Angelo Scafuro; her parents, Henry Elsworth Purdy and Lillian Ann Purdy; her sister Carol Fugate (Bill); her stepchildren, Linda Bevilacqua (Jean Jacques) of Palmyra, Virginia, Frank Scafuro (Dale) of New Britain and Lisa Scafuro of New York City; her grandchildren, Nanny, Alyssa, Gretchen, Kimberly, Lillian, Elizabeth and Samantha; and her great grandchildren, Old Nanny, Burton and Hudson. She was also cherished by the children.
Due to the current pandemic, Barbara's family recently held a small graveside service at Maryrest Cemetery in Mahwah, NJ.
