He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold E. Hawthorne, Sr. and Jessie Hawthorne; his brother Joseph Hawthorne; his wife Carol Hawthorne; and his son Joseph Hawthorne.

He is survived by: his child Kim Haskoor (John); his granddaughter Kaitlyn Haskoor; and his great grandchildren, Sadie and Scarlett.
