He is survived by: his wife Ana Herrera; his children, Anabel Angon, Alejandra Herrera and Erik Herrera; his grandchildren, Erika, Yaya, Kaily, Yayito, Erikin, Abel, Kassandra, Ana, Derik, Scarlett, Danny, Ari and Bryanna; his parents, Antero Herrera and Severiana Herrera; and his children-in-law, Yayo (Carlos) and Alma.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Kugler Community Home For Funerals (311 N 5th St, Saddle Brook, NJ 07663). A funeral Mass was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Agnes Roman Catholic Church (681 Main St, Paterson, NJ 07503). A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM at the Cedar Lawn Cemetery (200 McLean Blvd, Paterson, NJ 07504). Abel was a Cabinet Refinisher and worked all his life, even after surviving covid he still find a way to work on what he loves the most. He is what you defined what workaholic despite doctors telling him that he was not able to work due to covid deteriorating his health, he still went to work.
