He was predeceased by : his parents, Edna Lena Galloway and William Decatur Galloway, Sr.; and his sister Jacqueline Ashurst. He is survived by : his daughter Wendi Denise Galloway Melendez (Manuel Melendez); his stepgranddaughter Taryn Melendez (NJ); and his nieces, Roslyn Ashurst and Terri Ashurst of Rutherford, NJ. He is also survived by cousins and friends.

Visitation was held on Friday, June 21st 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Calhoun-Mania Funeral Home (19 Lincoln Ave, Rutherford, NJ 07070). A funeral service was held on Saturday, June 22nd 2024 at 10:00 AM at the First Presbyterian Church (1 E Passaic Ave, Rutherford, NJ 07070).
