He was predeceased by: his father John F. Ellard, Sr.. He is survived by: his mother Rita Catherine; his former wife Kathleen; his children, Meredith Medina (Johnathan), Mark Ellard and Diane Connelly (Dustin); his grandsons, Myles Medina and Nino Connelly; and his sister Helen Holmes (David).
Visitation was held on Monday, December 9th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on Tuesday, December 10th 2024 at 9:30 AM at the Calhoun-Mania Funeral Home (19 Lincoln Ave, Rutherford, NJ 07070). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, December 10th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the Church of Saint Mary (91 Home Ave, Rutherford, NJ 07070). A burial was held on Tuesday, December 10th 2024 at the Maryrest Cemetery (25 Seminary Rd, Mahwah, NJ 07430).
In lieu of flowers, donations in John's memory may be made to the Rutherford Volunteer First-Aid Ambulance Corps.
