He is survived by: his wife Maria Speeney Johnson; his sons, Richard A. Johnson (Patti), Michael Verna Jr. (Kate) and Gregory Verna (Ashley); and his sisters, Carlene Dott (Rich), Etta Keebler and Linda Giuliano (Sal). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
