She was predeceased by: her husband Walter G. Yates; her close friend Joseph Kelly; and her son Anthony J. Yates. She is survived by: her children, Walter "Sonny" Yates (Wendy), Michael Yates (Louise) and Lisa Yates-Shaw; her grandchildren, Matthew, Roxanne, Shannon, Matt, Alyssa, Ryan, Ryley and Michael; her sister Donna Elm (Skip); and her niece Melanie Darconte. She is also survived by many great grandchildren, family, and friends.
