He was predeceased by: his parents, Earnestine Henson and Daniel Young; his wife Colette Peay-Henson; his grandparents, Marie and Albert Henson; and his in-laws, Louis Peay and Alveria McBurroughs.
He is survived by: his son Garett Henson (Breanna); his siblings, Deborah Young Johnson, Matthew Tony Young, Daniel Young, Leonard Atkins and Geraldine Atkins; his cousins, Pamela Harris and Brenda Fraction; his nieces and nephews, Ricky Johnson, Jeffrey Young, Shurron Harris, Ebony Burrell of Blackwood and Camden; his brothers-in-law, Tony (Cathleen) and Jacques Peay (Jill); his nephews, Anthony Peay and Bryce Joyner; and his in-laws, Carlos and William Peay of Ridgewood.
A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 2nd 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Mount Bethel Baptist Church (399 S Broad St, Ridgewood, NJ 07450).
