It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joseph F. McGovern of Rumson, New Jersey, born in Long Beach, New York, who passed away on December 11, 2020, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Angela D. McGovern. He is survived by: his children, Joseph P. McGovern (Theresa), Anna Wanser (Dave), Dorothea Bickel (Cliff) and Kathleen Parks (Chuck); and his grandchildren, Elizabeth Delonardo, Theresa Szatkowski, Christopher Stenger, Caroline McCullough, Angela Kennedy, Patrick Bickel, Kaitlin Parks, Joseph P. McGovern Jr. and Peter McGovern. He is also survived by eight great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in Joseph's memory to the American Diabetes Research Foundation 1701 N. Beauregard St. Alexandria, VA 22311.
