It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Martin Schlichting of Roselle Park, New Jersey, born in Plainfield, New Jersey, who passed away on December 2, 2024, at the age of 64, leaving to mourn family and friends. As James Martin departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though James Martin may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy James Martin leaves behind.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Schlichting and Bernadette Schlichting; and his grandparents, Charles, Veronica Schlichting (May), Agnes and Joseph Sweeney.
He is survived by: his daughter Jessica Tomb (Joseph); and his granddaughter Olivia. He is also survived by four brothers and six sisters, and many, many nieces, in-laws, nephews, and cousins.
A funeral service was held on Friday, December 13th 2024 at 10:30 AM at 541 Washington Ave, Kenilworth, NJ 07033.
