He was predeceased by: his parents, Martin Maher and Mary Maher (Hannigan). He is survived by: his wife Marilyn Andersen; his children, Kristin, Erik, Icelandic and Karin; his siblings, Bill (Debbie), Marty (Kathleen), Cathy (LaVerne) and Mickey (Wendy); and his nieces and nephews, Jennifer, Meredith, Eric, Sean, Joseph, Margaret, Marty, Patrick, Catey, David, Aaron and Kyran.
