He was predeceased by: his parents, John Lawrence and Alice Shanahan; and his son-in-law Jonathan Selikoff. He is survived by: his wife Kathryn Shanahan; his children, Lauren Selikoff and Brett L. Shanahan; his grandson Samuel Selikoff; his cousin Mary Diana Cooper; his brothers, Robert (Lorraine Dusinberre) and Thomas (Barbara Greason); and his nieces and nephews, Kate, Taylor and Zane.
