He was predeceased by: his wife Anne J. Cross; and his brother William Cross (Billy). He is survived by: his children, Gary Cross (Lisa) and Glen Cross (Diane); his grandchildren, Gary, Jr., Michael (Melissa), Andrew (Sarah) and Jenna Anne; his great grandchildren, Michael Richard Cross and Julianna Anne Cross; and his brothers, Robert Cross (Bobby), Wayne Cross and Donald Cross. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
