He was predeceased by: his parents, Milton Hirchberger and Katherine Weisinger Hirchberger; his wife Lois Donnelly Hershberger; and his sister Catherine. He is survived by: his daughter Laura; his son-in-law Bruce McElyea; his son Paul Hershberger; his grandson Anthony (Ianthe); his great grandchildren, Ionie and Amaya; his niece Jeanette Pacharis; and his nephew Tom Schaeffer.
