He is survived by: his wife Catherine Mallon; his pet Max; his wife Catherine Kmetz of Newport News; his daughters, Juliet Shepard (Douglas) of Bradenton, FL, Mary Pantalone of St. Petersburg, FL, Veronica Kmetz of Newport News and Joanne Kmetz-Van Dijk (Martijn) of Bowie, MD; his grandchildren, Chandler Shepard and Sydney Shepard; his goddaughter Hannah Donohue of Alexandria, VA; and his brother Michael Kmetz of Flemngton, NJ..
