Kenneth W. Gorman Sr. Obituary
Kenneth W. Gorman, Sr., of Rockaway Twp., NJ passed away on Thursday, February 15, 2024. He was 78 years old.
Kenneth was born on November 11, 1945 in Passaic, NJ. He was predeceased by his father the late William P. Arnoldi, step-father the late Gerard P. Gorman and the late Viola E. (Staudt). He was a United States Air Force Veteran and was proud of his country. He worked at Hercules as a quality control officer for many years and most recently before his retirement he was a site supervisor for Hormel in Tucker, GA.
He liked to watch football- especially college Baseball and Hockey and was a passionate Nascar fan. He loved history - especially Civil War times. When he wasn't watching sports, he was watching the news especially Fox News. Kenneth fished when he was younger and used to go the gun club to skeet shoot and was the champion in GA in early 2000s. He liked to travel and go on cruises and enjoyed sitting on his front porch drinking his coffee with his dog Tucker sitting by his side. He was very active in the American Legion Post 423 and was the service officer for local and county chapters and enjoyed going to state convention in Wildwood every year. He was very passionate about helping his fellow veterans get the benefits that they deserved.
Kenneth is predeceased by his loving wife Kathryn (Marks) Gorman, brother Daniel Gorman, and sister Claudia (Arnoldi) Folsom. He is survived by his children Belinda Gorman and Kenneth Gorman, Jr. and his wife Beth, grandchildren; Robert Satterthwaite and Isabella Satterthwaite, Great Grandchildren; Katalina Rose and Rio Luca. Siblings Thomas Gorman, David Gorman, Gerard Gorman, James Gorman, Kathy (Gorman) Santos, Mark Arnoldi, William Arnoldi, Francine (Arnoldi) Sollers, Amy (Arnoldi) Moon, Sharon (Arnoldi) Kershaw, Audrey (Arnoldi) Yates, Step Brother John Read and many nieces and nephews.
Kenneth's Life Celebration will be on Friday, February 23 from 4 to 8pm at Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home, 150 Landing Road, Landing, NJ. A Prayer Service with Military Funeral Honors will be held at 7:30pm at the funeral home.
