She was predeceased by: her husband Robert W. Snead; and her son David. She is survived by: her sons, John (Debbie) and Christopher Schmid (Laura); her child-in-law Terry Snead; her grandchildren, Danielle, Julia, Ian (Lyndi), Megan, Andrea and BJ; and her great grandchildren, Giovanni and Madison.

In lieu of flowers, Sophie's family requests memorial contributions made to the Voorhees Animal Orphanage, 419 Cooper Road, Voorhees, NJ 08043.
