He was predeceased by: his parents, John Heether and Pauline Heether; and his siblings, Larry and Joan. He is survived by: his children, Joseph J. Heether of Beverly and Donna Bonner (Michael) of Beverly; his sister Janet Dickinson (Thomas); his grandchildren, Sean Bonner and Michael P. Bonner; and his former wife Veronica Heether of Beverly.
