She was predeceased by : her parents, John Yoka and Marie Yoka; and her husband Michael J. Kirk. She is survived by : her children, Dianne Kelly (Daniel) of Needham, MA, Rosella Frerich (Randall) of San Antonio, TX and Matthew Kirk (Diana) of Riverside; her grandchildren, Amanda, Michael, Kathryn, Sean and Kelly; her great grandchildren, Christian, Caeden, Lorelei, Emma Grace, Brynn and Charlotte; her sister Rose Marie Jenkins (William) of Delran, NJ.; and her pet Macy. She is also survived by her many nieces, nephews, friends.

“Enjoyed talking to Joanna on the phone and at lunches in restaurants near her with her sister Rosemarie and our cousins. It was always a good time. She loved talking about her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren and was proud of all of them. She especially enjoyed driving her granddaughter Kelly to and from school and spending time with her.. I think I heard so much about Kelly because she lived closest to Joanna. “Going through my mother’s papers since her death, I found many envelopes with a letter from Joanna along with photographs from special events or of people that she & mom loved. She kept mom connected with her family in Riverside by mail & phone calls. I remember that my cousin Joanna had such a beautiful smile & gorgeous creamy skin & always looked young. She was so proud of her children & adored her grandchildren. We had some happy days getting together at Aunt Marie’s house. Susan Burdette”
