He is survived by: his son Vernon Charles Appel III of Bloomingdale. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 24th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Richards Funeral Home - Riverdale (4 Newark Pompton Turnpike, Riverdale, NJ 07457).
