He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Lavin and Florence Lavin; his wife Patricia Lavin; and his brothers, Thomas and William Lavin.
He is survived by: his children, Edward Lavin (Yesenia) and Brianne Priester Janine (Michael); his siblings, Margaret Christman, Winifred Elson, Alice Anderson, Florence Garufi, Joseph Lavin and James Lavin; and his grandchildren, Catherine Priester, Michael Priester, Margaret Priester, Charles Priester and Caelin Sargent.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 13th 2025 from 10:45 AM to 11:45 AM at the Saint Helen Roman Catholic Church (157-10 83rd St, Howard Beach, NY 11414). A burial will be held on Friday, March 14th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Calverton National Cemetery.
