He was predeceased by: his parents, Hilda Burtis and Donald Burtis of Maywood, NJ; and his wife Melody Burtis. He is survived by: his brother Donald Burtis; his sister-in-law Daryl Burtis; his nephew Donald Burtis Jr.; and his nieces, Cristin Burtis and Valerie Moran. He is also survived by spouses, and his seven great-nieces and great-nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude's Research Hospital or "Church of the Presentation" in his memory.
