He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Ingeborg Eleanor Johnsen (Andersen); his grandfather Bestefar; his children, David Johnsen (Karen) of Woodstock, CT, Judith Skaar (Alan) of Montvale, NJ and Allen Johnsen (Susan) of Milford, PA.; his grandchildren, Timothy Skaar (Meaghan) of Roslindale, MA, Rebecca Andersen (James) of Montague, NJ, Jenny Gillett (Clark) of Eastford, CT, Rachael Bell (Nathan) of Dingmans Ferry, PA, Kathryn Hopper (Michael) of Middletown, NY, Robert Johnsen (Rebekah) of Lititz, PA and Nancy Hickok (Jonny) of Dingmans Ferry, PA; his sister Ruth Tonnesen (Haakon) of Warwick, NY; his brother-in-law Svein Jonssen of New Milford, NJ; and his siblings, Marge Johnson, Signe Roberts and Walter Johnsen. He was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be given to the Trinity Evangelical Free Church, Teaneck, NJ.
