He is survived by: his wife Mary Belle Hutchison (Jones); his daughters, Michele Worster (Jeffrey), Melissa Hutchison and Melanie Santos (Yamil); his grandchildren, Lily, Charlie, Aaron, Cameron, Braydon and Daniel; his stepsons, Christopher Blockus and Alexander Blockus (Rachelle); and his brother Robert Hutchison (Suzanne). He is also survived by his extended family, church community, and many friends.

Visitation was held on Monday, December 16th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Tuesday, December 17th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service was held on Tuesday, December 17th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Millington Baptist Church (520 King George Rd, Basking Ridge, NJ 07920).

“Jim was a light in my life when I needed one while we were at PBU together. He and I commuted from Somerville to Langhorne with a young woman also named Lucy. He would remark that his prescription was to take two Lucys and drive home.,,,During those rides Jim would entertain us with his joke of the week.
