“I knew Bill from St. John's and from NBC. I met him first when I was his freshman orientation advisor at SJU, which does not seem as long ago as it actually is.. Bill was a fantastic guy - kind and funny - and even though it has been years since I've spoken to him, hearing of his passing was really a shock. Bill was one of the good guys and I believe he will be missed, not just by his loved ones, but anyone who knew him. Please accept my sincere condolences on his passing. Liz Shannon (SJU/NBC)”
