The passing of Thomas A. Hughes of Ridgewood, New Jersey leaves a void in the hearts of many, as we bid farewell to a loving soul who departed on January 3, 2025 at the age of 93. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Andrew Hughes and Lola Hughes (Penabel); and his significant other Virginia Barbara Sullivan. He is survived by: his children, Thomas (Jeanne), Stephen (Andrea), Jennifer (Carolynn Angle) and Jean Buono (Thomas); and his grandchildren, Brendan Hughes, Sean Hughes, TJ Buono, Brian Buono and Julia Buono. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Vander Plaat Colonial Home (13-31 Saddle River Rd, Fair Lawn, NJ 07410). A funeral Mass was held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church (1 Passaic St, Ridgewood, NJ 07450). A burial was held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 at 11:45 AM at the Ascension Cemetery (650 Saddle River Rd, Airmont, NY 10952).
