He was predeceased by: his parents, Anna Hovan (Daniel) and Joseph Hovan; his sister Helen Kucharik; and his son Joel. He is survived by: his significant other Ann; his daughters, Amy Bowen (Timothy) and Meg Sample (John); his grandchildren, Emma Pyle (Adrian), Danny Sample (Bryce), Dean Sample and Henry Bowen; and his sister Hilda Cook. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
