He was predeceased by: his nephew Lance. He is survived by: his wife Brooke L. Johnston; his son Charles "Chip"; his daughter-in-law Lisa of Ridgewood; his daughter Lee Ann of Cleveland; his grandchildren, Connor (Samantha), Katherine "Katie" and Carter; his brother John (Linda) of South Carolina; and his nieces, Vonda Calcutt and Christa Martin.
