She was predeceased by: her parents, Herbert W. H. Dankert and Mary Ruth Dankert (Geise); and her husband Robert Garofalo. She is survived by: her son David Porter of Bergenfield, NJ; her granddaughter Kayla; her siblings, Barbara Orsak of Wichita, KS, Beth Sattes (Lyle) of Charleston, WV and Herb Dankert (Janet) of Springfield; and also Ellen. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Diabetes Association.
