He was predeceased by: his parents, Pirt Rupert Guilford, Sr. (Mattie Mae Johnson Guilford Reynolds) and NJ; his wife Rose M. Guilford; his children, Phillip, Louis E. and Joanne; his grandson Phillip; and his siblings, James, Rupert, Wayne Guilford, Dorian Ford, Delores Guilford, Brenda Guilford, Juanita Hicks and Jamelle Guilford.
He is survived by: his children, Kenneth, Brian Guilford, Gail Hill (Valerie Teller) and Llewellyn Hill; his daughters-in-law, Maggie and Irene; his sister Shirley Blackwell; and his sister-in-law Janet Pumphrey. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, 1 Goddaughter, many beloved nieces and nephews and cousins.
Viewing was held on Thursday, April 24th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, April 26th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 26th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Shiloh Baptist Church (640 Philadelphia Ave, Egg Harbor City, NJ 08215). A burial was held on Saturday, April 26th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Egg Harbor City Cemetery (1330 Hamburg Ave, Egg Harbor City, NJ 08215). A reception was held on Saturday, April 26th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Beacon Hall (243 St Louis Ave, Egg Harbor City, NJ 08215).
