He was predeceased by: his parents, Jacob Howell and Ellwarth Howell; and his siblings, Edward, John, Luther Howell, Goldia Murray and Elworth Kearney.
He is survived by: his wife Joyce Howell; his children, Warner M. Howell Jr. (Heather C. Howell), David Niblack (Pamela Niblack) and Jenee Farley (Dana Farley); his grandchildren, Taajudeen, Jamaica, Yaqub, Imani, Aaliyah, Jocelyn (Karle), Jereme, Dana "Ian", Kyle, David, Jr., Daniel, Moriah and Tameika (Maurice); and his siblings, James "Blanche", Ponce, Lawrence and Helen. He is also survived by 13 great grandchildren.
