He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Kann Sr. and Emra Fetrow Kann; his daughter Michele Kann McGinty; and his brothers, Donald Kann and David Kann.

He is survived by: his wife Jesslyn Alloway Kann; his daughter Margaret Kann Hammell; his granddaughters, Sarah McGinty Paterson and Samantha McGinty; his great grandchild Isaac Paterson; and his siblings, Kenneth Kann, John Kann, Curtis Kann, Joseph Kann and Lois Kann Conway. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
