With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Nettie Melvin (Red Bank, New Jersey), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 20, 2025 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Deacon Homer F. Credle and Roseaddie Smith Credle; her husband Eddie Melvin; her children, Maurice Melvin and Linda Pearl Credle; and her siblings, Homer Credle Jr., Herman L. Credle, Harold Credle, Ella Mae Jackson, Guy Lovett Credle and Ruby Sawyer.
She is survived by: her children, Suzanne Young (Paul), Leona Melvin and Christopher Melvin, Sr. (Kysha); and her siblings, Glenwood Earl Credle of Red Bank, NJ, Samuel Whitehurst (Cherry) of Spotsylvania, VA, Neva Ruth Branch, Joyce Marie O'Neal of New Bern, NC and Laula Elizabeth Allen of Garner, NC. She is also survived by grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 31st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM and at 11:00 AM.
