She was predeceased by: her parents, Laurence DiFiore and Angela DiFiore; her brother Larry DiFiore; and her husband Andrew Citarella. She is survived by: her children, Angela (Tony Liberatore), Ralph Citarella (Jeanne), Howell and Andrew Citarella; her granddaughters, Maria Pollard (Lee), Jennifer Nelson, Christina Friscia (Thomas) and Julia Nelson (Lindsay Martorana); and her great grandchildren, Wesley, Lucia, Cecilia Pollard, Claira and Thomas Friscia. She is also survived by her children and grandchildren's friends.
Donations can be made in Maria's name to St. Jude Hospital, Save the Children or Glioblastoma Foundation.
