It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Lorraine Backus of Red Bank, New Jersey, born in Bayonne, New Jersey, who passed away on February 25, 2021, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Nazareth Babian and Virginia Babian (Zakarian); and her husband John Backus. She is survived by: her daughter Deborah (Ron); and her grandchildren, John Maturo (Erin Beech), Andrew Maturo (Lauren Brauer) and Nicole Lorraine Maturo. She is also survived by her loving brother and sisters-in-laws, nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent in Lorraine's memory to St. Stepano's Armenian Apostolic Church 1184 Ocean Avenue, Long Branch, New Jersey 07740, or St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
