He was predeceased by: his wife Carol Ann Dempsey; his parents, John McNeil and Bertha McNeil; his sister Eileen Linzmayer; his nephew Frank Linzmayer Jr.; and his brother-in-law Richard Dempsey.
He is survived by: his children, John, Jr., Susan Altomare (Leonard), Mary Beth Durham (Edward) and Christopher (Jeanine); his grandchildren, Andrew, Matthew, Jake Altomare, Zachary Durham (Morgan), Courtney, Rachel Durham, Christopher McNeil and Erann Dutton (Bradley); his great grandchild Bradley Dutton Jr.; his siblings-in-law, Frank Linzmayer and Shirley Dempsey; his nephew RJ Dempsey; and his nieces, Eileen Murphy and Cheri Drake.
