He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Jackson Sr. and Pearl Jackson; his wife Rosalie Jackson; his brothers, Walter "Babe" Jackson and Jackie Jackson; and his stepson Ron Joseph.
He is survived by: his children, James R. Jackson, Eulita Jackson-Moorer, Romona Shelton and NJ; and his great grandchildren, Aryanna, James, Aiyanna Morris, NJ and Jerry Latimer. He is also survived by sister, Joyce Plummer, NJ; grandchildren.
