He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Schumann and Emma Bendel Schumann. He is survived by: his wife Clare; his brother Walter; his children, Mark Schumann (Loretta) of Gold Canyon, AZ, Richard Schumann (Treacy) of Lyman, SC and Laura Schumann (Daniel Pol) of Washington, DC; and his stepdaughters, Roberta Cleary of Ponte Vedra, FL, Justine Starrett (Kevin) of Chagrin Falls, OH and Adrienne Doherty (Ray Hickman) of Red Bank, NJ. He is also survived by grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and wonderful friends.
