We are sad to announce that on August 21, 2022 we had to say goodbye to Ethel Palmer (Red Bank, New Jersey), born in Hopewell, Virginia. She was predeceased by: her parents, Lee Jasper Williams and Polly W. Levister-Williams; her husband Arthur Palmer; her children, Lee Jasper Rogers and Esquire; her stepgranddaughter Samora Palmer; her brothers, Thomas, Horner, McCormick and Otis Williams; and her cousin Geneva McClendon.

She is survived by: her children, Sara Rogers, Aleta Pickett and Peter Rogers, Jr. (Norma); her stepsons, Rodney Palmer (Candance) and Tony Palmer; her sisters, Almenta Williams and Edith Roach-Battle; her sister-in-law Rita Williams; and her friend Edna Reed. She is also survived by six grandchildren; eight step-grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; six great-great grandchildren.

“Rest in Heaven Ms Ethel. 🙏🏽 When I was 12 yrs old I delivered The Daily Register to the Palmer home on Leighton Ave This was my 1st encounter with Ms Ethel's beautiful and warm smile. Your Mother & Grandmother & Friends had (and has in heart) one of the kindest, warm-hearted people ❤️ that was shared with many people. I asked my Mother if she knew a Ethel Palmer. When asked why I told my mother that she was so sweet. She smiled and said "Yes, she's nice. Tell her i said hi". 🙏🏽 RIP❤️”
