He was predeceased by: his parents, Daniel L. Hertz Sr. and Elizabeth Beet Hertz. He is survived by: his wife Isabel Waud Hertz; and his children, Richard (Kara Hurd), Lauri (Michael Boyle), David (Ann Hurd), Suki Hertz (Michael Hagerty), Daniel (Pamela Hertz), Bruce (Lucy Hurd), Seana (Tyson Pritchard) and Benjamin (Samantha Hurd). He is also survived by 24 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
