He is survived by: his parents, Gary Schmitt and Carolyn Schmitt; his wife Sandra Schmitt; his sons, Brian and Sean; his sister Shannon; his nephews, Tyler and Zachary DaCosta; and his close friend Sandra. He is also survived by his mamma's boy, his father's best friend, his sister's confidant and his nephews.

Visitation was held on Sunday, December 22nd 2024 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the McCracken Funeral Home (1500 Morris Ave, Union, NJ 07083). A funeral service was held on Monday, December 23rd 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
